Hair-raising thinking... ;)

Ok, so...been thinking of either bleaching my hair pretty much platinum (like it used to go during the Summer when I was a child), ooorrr... What about a nice purple shade?

Hell, I'm 43 and have worked at my office job for about 9 years - I think I have a stellar enough reputation to get away with the funky colour in the office! *lol*

What say you?

TTFN,
Mugsy

P.S. Say, I found this blog entry interesting (yep, I do have varied tastes, what can I say?) Actually, one thing I can say is "Don't get me started on the origins of "Ring Around the Rosie" that most children in North America sing". Pretty much the same time and circumstance as discussed in that blog entry.

See, you really DO learn something new every day! ;)

  1. My vote is for purple! Go for it! There's no other colour that's better suited to spring and Easter (pink would be a close second). You only live once and hair colour can be changed on a dime, so why not give it a shot? I bet it would be tons of fun to sport for a while.

Big hugs & many thanks for your terrific blog comment today,

  2. *sigh* No go - the hairdresser says that the bleaching alone (before the purple) would cause too much damage. Damn!

Oh well, I liked what he suggested for a hairstyle in any case, so I'll have to remember to post before and afters.
And thank you for YOUR lovely comment, my dear! :)

  3. Really, no to the bleaching? So he even said no to the platinum? What a buzz/kill/joy. But what if you were going for a dark purple and only needed to lighten down a few shades before putting on the dye?

  4. I know, I was disappointed but I understood. I figured if I was going to go purple, why not a lovely lavender? Not that I've got anything against dark purple, but I'm tired of my somewhat dark hair - I'm a blonde that went dark as I aged. My hair used to turn white in the Summer when I was a child, but now I'm a mousy light brown with a little red and gold mixed in. Actually, I have strands of every natural colour (even silver, of which more and more is showing up over time *lol*) from white to black, but the overall effect is that darned mousy blonde/brown.

Highlights come mext, once I tweak the budget. :)

  5. Yeah why not à lovely purple? In fact it depends on how you normally are and What you wear most.

    If you need me.
I Will say it depends bécause for exemple red can be great apart if you dress everyday in green! -although i kind of like the Xmas combo haha-

  6. Wow, hey, thanks for the comment! :) I'm normally a farily quiet person - until you get to know me and I "relax" a little... mwa, ha, ha, ha...
My clothing could be described as "office-approved", or "safe". Love vintage styles from the 20's and the 30's, but wouldn't dare wear them to work (I work in a file room and would HATE to destroy such lovely clothing).
I'll have to look up your shop! Thanks so much! :)
